Vehicle Description
This is a real Super Sport model, with all original configuration and drive train. It has the HO 305 V8 engine, and the 2004R 4-speed automatic transmission (overdrive). Has the 3.73 rear end gears. There have been NO modifications to the engine or other parts of the drive train - it's all there as it left the GM factory. Stock wheels.
Has power steering and power brakes. New state inspection sticker in late July - Good till August 2020.
In the last 1,000 miles the dual exhaust and tires were replaced. In the last 200 miles all the brakes were replaced (rotors, calipers, pads, wheel cylinders, bearings, seals drums and shoes, and the carburetor was replaced with a professionally-rebuilt stock one. Recent oil change and transmission filter and flush too. New spark plugs, thermostat, oxygen sensor, heater hoses, radiator hoses, ignition coil, rotor, fuel filter and air filter. And some other stuff I'm not remembering at the moment. The engine bay is very clean and tidy. Starts and runs smooth.
The interior is all stock except for some aftermarket speakers installed in the 1990's in the original locations. They work well. The inside is very clean and complete, no rips or tears. Oh yeah, a new headliner was installed last year too.
This car cruises down the road very comfortably. It's totally ready to drive and reliable - no problem taking it on long road trips if you'd like. All parts are available for this model - easy to find and very reasonably priced. Insurance is inexpensive too. Eligible for antique plates. Adult owned and garaged it's entire life. Undercarriage is in good shape. The previous owners obviously took care of it and it shows.
You can leave the car as-is stock or find a Summit/JEGS/Speedway catalog and buy a whole bunch of small-block Chevy performance parts if you want gobs of power and speed. Lots of options for this engine and transmission to make it faster if that is what you want to do.
Sold with a bill of sale, previous registrations, full GM repair manual, repair records and a custom car cover. No titles are issued or required for antique cars in Maine. But I will help you obtain one through the state's title-affadavit service if you need one for out-of-state sales. I have the paperwork to do that if desired.
Can deliver the car locally if needed. It is registered, inspected and insured. The price is fair and reflects the age and condition. If the ad is still up it is still available. Serious inquiries only. Leave your name AND phone number AND your location and I will reply to your message. (this is to prevent incoming spam calls and texts)
Thank you.
