The Cadillac Allante was aimed to be America's competition to the Mercedes SL class. Designed by Pininfarina, the body was produced in Italy, then shipped 46 at a time to America on specially designed Boeing 747 planes, where it would then be mated with the Cadillac produced chassis and motor.
This Allante's exterior is finished in a sharp silver with red accents. A beautiful Burgandy leather interior. It has the optional 2 tops, black soft top and a matching silver hard top. With in the last 1000 miles was fully serviced. It passed the Virginia State inspection in Nov. 2020. This two owner 1987 is a collectors dream car with only 107,000 miles. This car has never been in ice or snow and has seen little rain.
It is powered by a 4.1L V8 engine not the troublesome Northstar. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission and owners would brag about how well it handled. It cost over $60,000 new in 1987.
This car lived most of its life in the DC area by a elderly Aircraft Engineer. He kept it in his garage for 30 years and drove it less then a 3000 miles a year then because of illness sold his Allante to me. Questions?
