Vehicle Description
Up for sale is a super rare 1987 Honda Civic Si Hatchback.
This first-generation Si was introduced in 1986 and spanned until 1988 when it was replaced by a new platform. You’ll see some CRX hatchback around, but the Civics are extremely uncommon.
This southern Civic has a clean Florida title (in hand) and is unmodified. It has a manual 5-speed transmission and a 1.5 4 cyl. Engine. It runs well and shifts into every gear. It is running, driving, and stopping conditions. It does not have any options (save for the OEM sunroof) and did not have A/C or Power Steering from the factory. The body is fairly straight with some repairs made. Brand new battery as of 11/24/2020. New plug wires as well.
It does need some things. The paint is not great on a few areas (roof, top of the hatch, and driver’s fender), the windshield is cracked, and it needs a sunroof weather strip (rubber is damaged from UV) although the sunroof opens and closes fine.
It comes with Thule roof rack bars, some extra parts, and the original manuals.
With some minimal work, this could be an exceptional Radwood car. Very lightweight, simple, and fun to drive.
Asking $4,300 or best reasonable offer. Would trade for an older VW GTI, VW Ghia, or similar
