Vehicle Description
1987 Pontiac Firebird T-top great shape.
Grandpa, a retired marine, loved this car but he left this world last year. He was the second owner.
I have the Carfax report but I don't know how to attach it to this ad, so email me through CL and I'll send it.
148,000 miles: Base model: Clean title: Great original driver:
2.8 liter V-6: Fuel injected: Doesn’t smoke or knock, see video. Lots of room in the engine bay.
Video:
Starts right up but sputters a little when you hit the gas, needs a bit of a tune-up. It’s actually doing better the more I drive it.
Great tires, lots of tread, well over 50%: One locking lug nut per tire and the key for unlocking is included.
Lots of regular maintenance: fluids look good.
Goes and stops great: Transmission shifts well.
Lights work, except for one backup light.
Heating works well: AC does not seem to work but it was very cold out so maybe that effected it.
New battery.
Original cassette tape deck, AM/FM radio. Sound great, lots of speakers, but cassette didn't play.
Glass is great, electric windows run up and down, seals look good.
T-top glass panels can easily be removed and reinstalled, as per original.
Look at pictures of bottom of car while being up on a lift - there is no rust on the bottom of the car. The jack-points along each side of the car are a bit bent. There are small spots of rust in a few places on the body, see pictures. Front carpets are worn, there are weather-tech type floor mats over the carpets. Driver’s door handle has a loose piece under it but the handle works.
Has owner’s manual, shop manual, a number of extra keys, extra decal similar to the ones behind each door on the side panel.
$4,600 or best offer. Contact me for more photos or if you have questions. Contact me through Craigslist system.
I had my phone number listed here for interested folks but I got a number of SCAM contacts. These scammers each wanted me to go to a VIN report site that isn't listed on the NMVTIS website (National Motor Vehicle Title Information System) like Carfax is. NMVTIS says scam sites will look good, but when you go to pay for the service will take you to another site, sometimes to a different URL such as .VIN site. However, they say that the URL .VIN is for WINE! And if you pay the money probably just disappears and you get nothing.
Beware of the following:
Steve, used phone number show contact info , wanted a report from autovehiclereport.com.
Paul, used phone number show contact info , wanted a report from checkyourvinreports.com.
One other person, used phone number show contact info , wanted a report from evinreport.com.
