Gorgeous black 1987 black Scirocco 16V for sale - SURVIVOR,
1987 VW SCIROCCO·THURSDAY, MARCH 5, 2020·
I bought this in 2014 with Odometer 189,997 km (116,000 mi). Unfortunately , I do not have much time to enjoy and think someone else could appreciate this 1980’s gem. In 2019, the odometer must have stopped working and reads now 190623 (118,000 mi). The tach and speedo work fine.
As I understand. The original owner was a VW mechanic. This is a non-molested car with original paint and original motor. There is ZERO frame rust (always undercoated). It does have 4 small surface rust bubbles on rear deck. It has power windows, locks and premium factory stereo that all work and factory sunroof that does NOT leak. However, in a heavy rain., this car leaks somewhere to the interior. This car was ordered from dealer with no AC and the car has rare euro/KPH gauges. The interior is in unbelievable condition.
This car is a beautiful example of an original, well cared for, pretty much original, unmolested car!
details... See below.

RARE 16V pill shaped key
Upgrades since pulling the car out of the garage:
15” BBS Replica wheels
Goodyear sport tires
Laser alignment
Momo EVO Race steering wheel
Momo gear shift nob
Momo gear shift boot
Momo pedals
Front windshield
Battery
B pillar vinyl
SONY 6x9 speakers (hidden in custom trunk deck)
OEM VW exhaust manifold (Was hard to find)
Front shock tower bushings
Front wheel bearing
Bosch +4 Spark plugs
Bosch Premium Cap and rotor
K&N Air filter
Fuel filter
Mobile 1 Oil Change
Mobile 1 Oil Filter
Sachs Clutch Kit
Professional clay bared and buffed.
Kamei mesh grill (Vintage)
Cons.
I just had the car inspected in 3/2020 by VW mechanic to see the things that are not evident when driving:
mechanic suggested:
replace left inner CV boot
replace shift Rod bracket
Replace right drive flange seal and cap
replace power steering rack boot
replace power steering pressure hose
rear shock may be starting to leak a little
this age car may have gas tank seem leak
gear noise in 2nd gear
rear hatch latch is stuck in unlocked position
This car, starts, stops , accelerates, corners, drives, revs and works very well. the Cons are given for information only because a previous potential Buyer told me my ad read as if the car was in perfect show car condition which it is not perfect but dam good for a 1987 Scirocco ready to be loved.
Call me for details, I want to be transparent and fair.
open to serious offers.
