Used 1987 Volkwagen Vanagon 2WD for sale in Bend, OR

Selling our well-loved 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon 2WD. This van is near and dear to our heart and we have put quite a bit of time, money and energy getting it nicely outfitted, reliable and comfortable. We love the van but with the addition of our second child we simply don’t use it enough. We would love to see it find a new home and get out on some adventures. We are the 3rd owners. We purchased the van from a good friends grandparents. They purchased it in 1990 and loved and used it. When we purchased the van it had been sitting for about 6 years (Covered and out of the sun) as the original engine had blown. Cosmetically the van was and is in great shape so we thought it would be the perfect candidate for a Subaru engine swap. Here is a list of all work completed on the Van since our ownership. I have all detailed records as well and last spring we had it inspected and some things fixed/replaced.

- 10/26/15 Installed rebuilt Subaru 2.2L Engine. Installed by The Buslab in Berekely, CA. Approximately 3,200
miles on the new engine.
- 10/26/15, Full van tune-up and replacement of old and aging parts. All work performed by the Buslab in Berkeley, CA. I have the work order with exact work completed. Cost for engine and all additional work was $26,718.
- Rhino line bottom 12 inches of van body.
- Go Westy Off Road Kit (Fox Shock Suspension, 1.5 inch lift, black 16 inch wheels, BFG A/T KO2 Tires. I have a full sized spare tire included.
- One of a kind aluminum front bumper and rock sliders fabricated by a family member.
- ARB 2500 8ft Awning
- Rocky Mountain Westy Ladder (not currently on the van)
- Rocky Mountain Westy Rear Bumper
- Yakima Roof Racks, Installed by Cascade Rack in Bend, OR
- 5/28/2019 Jonathan Rall Integrity Auto – Van inspection, oil change, installed new propane tank, new water pump.
- Go Westy Fridge Delete Kit, We opted for more storage in the cabinets and use a portable ARB fridge/freezer (included with the van).
