Vehicle Description
For sale by owner 1988 Lincoln Town Car Continental, 113000 original documented miles. 5.0 Windsor Fuel Injected. Power everything. Velour interior. Power antenna/Tape deck/AM/FM stereo works. Original family owned. Whitewall Tires like new.
This car has no rust whatsoever. It has never seen a winter, or road salt. Garaged since new. My parent's had it shipped to Long Island from Florida a few months back. I just drove it 200 miles from Long Island to Colonie where I live and it was smooth. (Check out that pic of it in Manhattan!) No issues at all. Got some thumbs up too! Surprisingly good hwy gas mileage (22 MPG), manual says to use 87 regular unleaded. I would love to keep it, but I have no use for it since I have another car. Not in a rush to sell.
Registered, inspected thru 9-2020 and insured in my name. I did not want to sell with my Grandfather's title, so I put it in my name and had it inspected to ease the selling process. I had the mechanic take some pics of the undercarriage while it was on the lift being inspected. There really is no rust to be found. The mechanic says it does not have the troublesome air ride feature found in newer Lincolns. This was built on the Panther platform, same as the Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis.
You can insure this with Hagerty for $120 a year. Eligible for vintage/historical registration and plates, which will also save you money.
Private owner with clean NYS title. I have a Carfax, and all service documents. This car shows pride of ownership. No Check engine light, no games, and no surprises. Come take a look. You will not be disappointed.
