1988 SWB Gen 1 Mitsubishi Montero for sale. Well maintained, runs great and goes about anywhere. I am the second owner. The original owner bought it new in Germany when he was stationed there in the military. It has every available option in 1988 including power windows and A/C.

It has 183,5XX miles but had a Top to bottom engine rebuild at 124k miles at a cost of over $7k done by the pros at High Country Performance 4x4 in Denver. (receipts) This work included a new clutch and heater core. It now has 180,xxx miles. The Carburetor was rebuilt by the professionals at Don's carburetor in Arvada Colorado.Old Man Emu heavy duty suspension and 3-inch lift. Transmission works fine but has a worn 3-4 synchro. It still shifts fine. I will include a rebuilt and re-sealed transmission that is ready to install if you ever need it.

Paint was re-done two years ago and it was sprayed with Monstaliner in two different colors to resemble the factory two-tone paint. I did extensive prep work on the body before the paint and it came out great. It also has a roof rack (with keys). The front bull bar/bumper, rear bumper and rocker guards were custom made and then the winch and Off-road LEDs were added. No oil or other fluid leaks. 4X4 and auto hubs work great.

Interior is original and is in passable, but not perfect, shape. I’ll include a second bouncy seat frame and a lot of extra parts which I removed from a donor vehicle. I have an extra gas tank (nice and clean), extra starter, alternator and a bunch of other stuff. Good tires, with aftermarket rims. Everything on it works. Yes, EVERYTHING; the horn, the rear defroster, even the headlight washers. Cold A/C, hot heat.

This Montero is my daily driver and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, (Although with COVID I haven't been driving it much as I work from home. I just remembered that a rock hit the windshield and broke it. (not in driver's view) I will get that fixed.
