Vehicle Description
Exceptional museum quality collectible car! If you have a collection this is one that begs to be in it!
Very clean and well preserved. Drivetrain is as clean and perfect as the car looks. The engine was rebuilt in August 2019. I installed all new in 2019: pistons, a polished crank and new bearings, aisin oil pump, aisin Waterpump, koyo rollers, Japanese timing belt, japanese felpro head gasket, oem cam and crank seals from Toyota, a tig welded aluminum racing radiator, new ct26 turbo, iridium spark plugs, gear oil, rear diff oil, valve stem seals, powder coated wheels and new tires. The brakes are good, the shocks are old. The car is lowered, I have the original springs. It has modified exhaust with a can outback. The interior is fantastic. I never tested the AC. The heater core was disconnected when I got the car probably needs just a hose to connect it. The ABS works. All other electronics work and there is no damage to ANY wires. There is virtually no rust on this Colorado car. I keep it in a garage. The valve cover clearly leaks some oil even though I just replaced it. I was going to remove and apply RTV but i have yet to. If you drive it easy there is no leak whatsoever, it only shows up if you stomp it...and given the provenance and rarity I dont usually drive it like that. The car starts right up and sounds perfect- I can send video to interested parties. I did replace the temp 1 sensor and the AFM is clean. I replaced any coolant and vacuum hoses as required. The cruise control did work but it is currently removed. The sunroof works great and so do the windows. Theres some minor hail dents here and there but they're hard to see and don't bother me. I spent 140 hours plus parts to bring the car to its current condition mechanically. The car always looked this good though ;) Its a stunner! AND THE ONLY REBUILT st165 ON THE MARKET. I was told by forum people that there are less than 200 examples on the road still in North America. Don't miss your chance to own a very exclusive factory homologated race car from the dawn of the modern sports car age. It has 325 miles on the trip odometer, thats how many miles are on the rebuilt motor...so it's still break in fresh.
The price is firm and there will be no test rides without the purchase amount present and in cash.
Also, I may consider trades plus cash. I will consider serious offers, my price is negotiable.
This is the car the STI and EVO and FOCUS and R32 wish they could be. Be an original!
