49,100 miles and ready to drive anywhere. Purchased from the son of the original owner three years ago with 40,500 miles. Well-optioned beyond what was standard for 1989. Package 1SB which included power passenger seat, carpeted floor mats, door edge guards, illuminated entry and power trunk pull-down. Additional options include rear defroster, digital dash, lighted vanity mirrors, ETR radio upgrade (one speaker is intermittent & needs antenna but works great with a Bluetooth FM transmitter), Antelope leather seating & steering wheel, wire wheel covers, Antelope Firemist paint, garage door opener and four-note (trumpet) horn.
Interior and exterior are in excellent condition, no rust. There is a stain in the carpet under the front passenger floor mat that I have been unable to get out. Driver’s arm rest has a slit (very common). There are a few very minor scratches and a couple tiny chips in the paint that won’t show up in photos. There are two small spots of missing paint from the filler under the license plate (nickel and pencil eraser size).
Items renewed/replaced in last three years include: Front rotors/pads, water pump, serpentine belt, driver’s window regulator, battery (700CCA), coolant, AC (blows cold), tires, air filter, wipers, turn signal switch, head liner (including visors & all pillars, heavy padded Elk grain vinyl top & added coach lamps. Regular oil changes.
Powered by the very reliable 4.5 V-8, this car runs, rides, drives and stops beautifully and comfortably. It has been very well maintained and everything works as it should except as noted above. No warning lights and no stored diagnosis codes. Under body clean and solid with a few very minor spots of surface rust.
I would have no reservations about driving this car across the country. This was my first C-Body and spawned my love of this era of Cadillac - when Cadillac was still a true luxury sedan. It is a great car and I really don’t want to sell it; however, I have since acquired a few others that are better optioned. I would have no reservations about selling this car to a friend or family member. Located on the north side of Indianapolis. Clean and clear title in my name. Clean CarFax.
