Classic and Elegant Styling in this wagon. Great highway cruiser and daily driver. Comfortably seats 7 with the rear seats facing backwards. I get complements all the time. It's fun to drive and is just the right size of a car - not too big, not too small. With slightly larger tires on the car it looks customized. I purchased the car locally from a couple who lovingly cared for the car for 25 years. She has all the options: cruise, PS,PB, P/windows, automatic door locks, rear glass defrost and of course... front headlight wipers! etc ! etc ! etc !
The body is straight and has no rust. Paint still shows well, but the clear coat is thin and absent in a couple of spots. Chrome is nice.
Interior is nice with blue pleather (looks like leather but more durable). Seat covers are on the front for comfort only and not because it is hiding badly damaged seats. All three (3) rows of seats are in good condition with the exception of a little wear on the driver's seat @ the entry / exit area. All other upholstery is very nice and without issue. Back hatch has a removable cargo mat that is sided so that any spills are contained. (Good for dogs). The wagon has Mercedes floor mats on nice quality blue pyle carpets. Headliner is perfect and the Sunroof works great.
She has had a Rebuilt engine (upper end) and Rebuilt transmission, both at 151k. The wagon now has 191k. I gave the car a new AC compressor ($800), added new gas and tinted the windows, and more recently... new front brakes, new tires, new serpentine belt, new gas filter, new radiator flush, new plugs. The wagon accelerates well and brakes well .
And check this out... with the current wheels on the car, you never need clean to them! They have dust covers which protect each wheel from brake dust and they never get very dirty - not like conventional wheels. But if you did wish to change the look of the car, I have an extra set of Mercedes chrome mag wheels I'm throwing in with the car.
Did I mention it's fun to drive and seats 7 comfortably? Hard to believe it's almost 30 years old! You see fewer and fewer on the road these days. Hate to see it go, but I don't have room for it anymore. Would make a great commuter car or student driver car or for a Single mom kids and a dog.
Michael in SLO. Call anytime. Willing to drive to show / sell.
