The last of its R107 series, the 560SL received a new larger engine, with an improved rear suspension and limited-slip differential to better handle the added torque and power. Mercedes-Benz also added anti-lock brakes, leather upholstery, an alarm system, and an air bag.

Finished in a metallic light brown exterior with a chocolate brown soft top and a Palomino tan interior, this SL is pristine, having been lovingly cared for and well maintained by its current owner of eight years.

The convertible top is new. Although it has not been on the car during current ownership, its removable hardtop (with a new glass rear window), carrier and cover are included.

It recently received a new JVC audio/CD system (original radio included), speakers and power antenna. Matching rear seat cushions have been added, with rear seat belts and the original trim panel included in the trunk. The battery is brand new. Though not needed, much preventive maintenance has also been done, e.g., all exterior & interior bulbs, and fuses have been recently replaced, as have the coolant, windshield washer & brake fluid reservoirs, and the underhood mat. All fluids have also been flushed and replaced.
