Vehicle Description
Eddie Bauer Edition. Mileage: 116,972. The last year of this iconic vehicle. My son's reliable daily driver. We hate to part with it, especially after having put so much time and effort into it. But, as you likely know, the 2.9L V6 was never known for having the best fuel economy. That reason alone, is why we are selling. My son attends an out of town school and is racking up lots of miles and burning lots of unnecessary gas. Paying for school is hard enough, but add a steep fuel bill each month and things get tough. With 4 years of parts replacements and/or repairs, this little SUV is fully ready to go. This car has been loved and well cared for. EVERYTHING works, as it should. THE PROS: It gleams with a new paint job. All faded black body parts repainted black. The Firestone tires are only a few months old. The original wheels - with locking lugs, were all professionally restored, including the spare (new matching tire there, too). The seats are original and are in near perfect condition and the power lumbar function works perfectly! The carpeting, headliner and visors are approx. 3 yrs old and in near perfect condition. The center console is vehicle correct (not aftermarket) and like new. All power options and control buttons work. Push button, automatic 4x4 works perfectly - both high and low range. A/C works & blows cold. Transmission was rebuilt by Aamco in 2020. Rear differential was rebuilt in 2019. Front and rear u-joints were replaced just last week. Front grill and headlights replaced. Old "yellow light" bulbs were replaced with bright white LED's. Both faded rear tail light lenses were replaced with new. The list goes on and on. THE CONS: The undercarriage looks like a 32 yr old 4x4 that has seen it's time in the dirt. We believe the engine is original and has a noticeable valve tapping sound. The engine does leak A LITTLE oil. Again, it's 32 years old. No huge oil spots on the driveway, though. You have to see and drive it to believe it. It's not new and we're not making outlandish claims. It's a "mostly" restored vehicle that gets complimented all the time. Wouldn't it look good in your driveway/garage? Asking $16,995. You won't find another '90 Eddie Bauer that looks this good without going through a "specialty store". And you know they'll be asking a lot more! Come see it and make us a reasonable offer.
