Vehicle Description
Price lowered from $16,000 to now $14,000.
This is a very powerful and well done LS1 swap into a third gen camaro. All it needs is paint.
There is no rust at all, it was an Oklahoma car.
The body of the camaro is a 1990
The interior, doors, hatch, and rear bumper are from a 1987 Iroc
The engine and transmission are from a 2001 Camaro
Over the last seven years I have put thousands of dollars in aftermarket parts on this car.
1. Motor was rebuilt about 2,000 miles ago by the best, TPIS out of Chaska, MN. The motor alone has $10,000 into it. It is stroked out to a 383 with Forged Pistons and Crank. The rings are gapped so you can run Nitrous on the motor if you want more power. It currently has 422 rear wheel horsepower and 433 rear wheel foot pounds of torque. I have the dyno sheets. The engine is tuned by Excessive Auto Sports in Sioux Falls.
2. Transmission also has 2,000 miles on it. It is a 4L60E Stage 2 Monster Transmission it has a 3200 Circle D stall converter.
3. The rear axle is 3:27 the Australian Axle. I had it rebuilt by getting a new carrier sent to me from a man who rebuilds them in Australia.
4. Radiator is a heavy duty Entrophy Radiator custom made for a LS swap into a third gen camaro, all aluminon welded $1,000.
5. Wiring Harness is from PSI out of New Jersey
6. Hawks Sinister welded subframe connectors
7. UMI Wonder bar, front and rear swap bars
8. Founders, Panhard bar, rear Lower control arms, torque arm
9. Yellow Adjustable KONI shocks all around.
10. Big Brake Upgrade brake kits, Willwood Caplipers $1,300 (She stops like a dream)
11. Dakota Digital Gauges $800
12. B&M Shifter $300 (recently installed)
13. New poly bushings in stock front control arms
14. Strut Mounts are Founders
15. High Output Alternator
16. LS Swap Kit with motor mounts, headers, transmission crossmember, fuel pump is all from Hawks Third Gen $2,000
17. Hawks Third Gen 17inch Iroc replica wheels with brand new Nitto Tires. $1,800
18. I have new T-Top weatherstripping too for the paint job.
19. New HID headlights, Fog lights, and blinker lights $500
20. Brand new Maganflow exhaust with new Trans Am tips.
21. Sounds damping is throughout the car.
22. A/C blows cold all new $750
In the summer of 2018 I had this car just the way I wanted it, the motor and transmission was all built, it had been repainted. It was really perfect. However, I only got to enjoy it for 200 miles. A woman ran a red light and totaled the car. I then began the project of finding the donor car a 1990 Iroc and I tore that one down and began to transfer over all the parts from the 1987 to this 1990 Iroc. I literally took almost every part off of the 1987 and put it on the 1990. All the interior, the wiring, fuel lines, brake lines all came from the 1987 Iroc. Over this summer I drove it the whole summer and it ran wonderfully. This winter I was thinking of getting it painted the Iroc blue from the 1987 year. This blue is the same color used on the Detroit Speed Iroc they built. I would also perfect the interior which is in good shape, but not show quality. However I have decided to give up working on the camaro. The engine bay has already been painted blue it just needs it on the exterior.
There are many more things I have done to the camaro as I have every receipt on this car. Again I have put thousands of dollars into this machine and she runs amazing. You will be getting it for about half the price of what I put into it.
This car has appeared in Motor Market Magazine of Sioux Falls in 2017 as well as Keloland, and KSFY in conjunction with the Holy Smoke Car Show.
