(Car runs and drives but needs work to run perfectly - see below)
I have a 1990 NA Miata that recently had a complete 1.8 drivetrain swap in with 70k miles on it all
I have the 1.6 motor and trans that still runs it has 212000 miles on it along with the car.
The drivetrain I installed is a 70k mile 1996 trans and rear diff. The diff is the Torsen lsd positraction and makes the car super fun to drive!
Mods.
complete stainless steel exhaust with manzo cat back and obx racing header.
1.8 Torsen limited slip rear differential
New 70k mile trans.
NRG racing seats.
MST rims.
Carbon Miata overfenders.
R package front and rear lip.
Aftermarket Jeep headlights.
Tien street coil overs.
Aftermarket nrg floral steering wheel with nrg short hub adapter.
Cons
Could use paint job or wrap.
Radiator fan does not work.
Motor runs but burns oil I have had compression tested and over 180 in all cylinders so rings are good. I believe it needs valve seals.
Motor has random misfire but you can drive it hard and still can get tires to break loose.
I've replaced CAS, coil packs, wires and plugs - every part of the ignition besides the ecu.
I have a set of 4 all seasons mounted on rims to drift with and a set of m edition leather seats with subs and speakers in the seat.
