Vehicle Description
Rare opportunity to own one of the coolest and cutest cars ever. Entered 3 car shows and won them all. If you don’t like attention please don’t buy this car. People will come up to you wherever you go with big smiles and the eternal question ....What is it?
Only selling as we have two of these and must sell one for financial reasons.
This car is not a 1950s Fiat or similar which is what it intentionally resembles but a 1991 Nissan. Yes 1991!
We have done the timing chain , tune up, water pump and other mechanicals to avoid any issues and have a good running car. We also got the A/C working good, recovered the dash and other interior upgrades.
This is a Nissan and you will find you can get parts either at local auto parts stores for basics to Figaro specialists. These beloved cuties have great club support with advice and parts. There is one Figaro Club on Facebook that actually produces a cross reference list for parts for US owners.
Part of the fun and uniqueness of the Figgy is it’s right hand drive. This will take you about 5 minutes to master...ask your mail carrier.
We have taken it on interstate to Orlando and other places
The hardest part to get use to is the turn signal stalk on the opposite side and when you first try to get in you go to the passenger side which is the driver side on US cars.
These were originally made for the Japanese market only where the plan was to produce 8000. There was so much demand they sold them by lottery and made 20,000.
After 25 years they were allowed to come to the US.
There are so many neat features on this car like the convertible top that easily goes in the trunk to the awesome looking dash and interior to the fleur de lis design throughout the car. All of that plus big comfy leather seats and AC plus other modern amenities while looking like a car from the ‘50s...best of both worlds.
