Vehicle Description
For sale is a 1991 Ford Ranger XLT 2wd 2D with a custom sleeper build in the back. I bought the truck in 2018 and have taken multiple road trips down to SoCal, New Mexico, and Washington. I love this truck and am sad to see it go but it's time to move on to better things. It starts up and shifts great.
I built the sleeper set up myself and it works pretty good. A double burner colman grill will fit perfectly underneath the drawer and a few pans plus fuel will fit in the side pocket. The drawer is big enough for 6 32 oz jars in the back and about the same if not a bit more in the front of the drawer. The bed area lifts up for more storage or you can access it via a slidout door near the bottom. Has a latch for a lock installed. I can include the lock and key at no charge if you want. Curtains are blackout, sewed them myself. The strings might need another tightening to get the curtains to hang right. I'm 5'6" and can sit crosslegged on the bed with room above my head so it's not tight once you are in it.
Gets great MPG. I average 22-25 but I'm also conscientious of my RPMs and acceleration to save fuel. Easy to do with a stick.
This truck is over 30 years old. It has had and will continue to have issues - it's old. Issues usually revolve around electrical. I've tried to take care of it as best as I can and have all the receipts for all the work done. All work was done by B&L Quality Repair in Bozeman 2018-19 and then Scotts EQ here in Missoula. Here are some of the major items done:
2018
New O2 sensor
2019
-New Parking Break and Breaks
-Block Heater Installed
2021
-Clutch Slave cylinder, throwout bearing assembly, and pilot bearing at 141,867
