Vehicle Description
I need someone to come save my 1991 Mercury Colon Park! I purchased this vehicle from VA in Nov 2020 and yes it runs, drives, and I have a clean title! I was hoping to work on this over the next few years but I don't see myself actually being able too. Finding stable shop space hasn't really worked out. I don't want this beaut to waste away so Im looking to sell asap.
The previous owner (PO) I purchased it from had this vehicle as a "fun" car in addition to the other older vehicles and motorcycles he owned. He purchased it from the original owner (OO) in 2009 after the OO damaged the rear quarter panel. Insurance deemed it a loss and refused to pay for repairs. The 2nd owner was also a family friend of OO.
The title I received is from VA is dated 2009 with about 45878 miles. I have a scanned copy I can show you in person. The odometer currently reads 45944 and is not functioning. The original post and claims there is about 60,000 miles on it. I have no idea what the miles are but I can say the guy I bought it from had 3 other cars and a daily driver. It wasn't driven much.
It either rolled over before 2007 and is somewhere around 150-160k or it never flipped and it may be 60k. I cant give you a number. I can tell you it runs like a champ and not a tired and run down vehicle. I've used this to pick up furniture and to commute to friends or other things on weekends. Its a tank and the engine is solid. It will start up when you look at it.
The body and interior need work but they could be much worse. It spent most of its life in the Virginia sun and it took its toll. It needs a repaint and to get the dent fixed. The front seats need to new covers, door panels are okay, Rear seats are great and the 3rd row seats are clean. It could also use a new carpet but a good mat set would suffice. Some windows are stuck. There is a whole interior (-3rd row seats) on ebay that would be about $1200 that could swap right in.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
