Vehicle Description
I bought this car in May of 2017 and have daily driven it since then. Unfortunately, the odometer does not function but I estimate that it has about 240k miles. I have put approximately 16k on it during my ownership. It has winter tires mounted, which should be good for another winter or two.
Here's a list of issues which I’m aware of:
The check engine light is on because of an exhaust leak directly upstream of the oxygen sensor.
I removed the rear muffler and tailpipe because they had rusted and broken free from the exhaust.
The SRS light is on because the airbag is disconnected.
The blower motor resistor has failed, so the two low fan speeds do not work.
The blower motor is rather noisy.
Coolant is slowing leaking, I top it off every month or two.
When the lights are turned on, the bulb out indicator in the dash will come on. All of the exterior bulbs appear to be working, so I'm not sure of the cause. This started early this Spring.
Glovebox door hinges were damaged and removed.
Various scratches/dings/rust across body.
Clearcoat failure on roof and hood.
Air conditioning was converted to R134 prior to my ownership, but is not functioning.
Exterior side window lower seals are cracking and disintegrating.
And recent maintenance:
Battery replaced in June of 2017.
Alternator replaced in June of 2017 and July of 2018 (first replacement was defective and covered by warranty).
Fuel tank, fuel sending unit, in-tank fuel pump, distributor cap/rotor replaced in September of 2018.
Front brake pads, rear brake pads, spark plugs, air filter changed in the Summer of 2019.
This car has easily been my favorite vehicle I’ve owned, and I’m sad to see it go. I recently purchased a 240 Wagon to replace this as my daily driver, so I no longer have a use for this sedan. Overall, it has treated me very well during the last couple of years. The alternator died about a month after I bought it, and the fuel tank sending unit failed during the Summer of 2018. These were the only two times that the car wouldn’t start, otherwise it has ran reliably for my ownership.
Feel free to email/text me with any questions you have or if you would like to see any specific pictures. I can be available most evenings to show the car, it is located in Traverse City.
