Vehicle Description
1993 fully loaded Honda Accord station wagon 85,560 miles on it. It has AC, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, tinted windows, fully functional sunroof, power mirrors, auto transmission – and all the electrical components work great! Engine has plenty of compression and acts just like a lightly driven 85K mile engine should. There is a new full spare in the back as well. It cruises quietly at 70mph all day long without issue. Upholstery is a 9 out of 10, clean, very few scrapes, almost no stains. This is definitely a time warp of a car from the early 90’s. In lived in a lady’s garage most of it’s life in LA so it has no rust and is well preserved. It is titled and registered until 8/20. It gets 25-28 miles to the gallon – I’ve been driving it for the last month 6 days a week, about 30 miles a day without issue. It came from LA on the freeway and had no issues at all. Here is all the work that was done on this vehicle via mechanics in LA within the last 2000 miles: All liquids replaced, AC serviced, all transmission and cooling hoses and seals and pipes that had aged were replaced, new battery, oil and tranny fluid change. Basically this car was thoroughly gone through with the goal of having it be a daily driver, which it is. There are a few components that are not perfect – there is a bit of sun wear on the hood and roof, the drivers side rear door is hard to open from the inside, there are a few tatters on the door panels, the key hole on the rear hatch does not work – needs to be unlocked via the drivers/passengers door lock, but opens and stays open just fine. If this sounds too good to be true then it is – unfortunately the car does not go in reverse. I’m not exactly sure what happened, but it looks like the reverse gear will not mesh – this as of about three weeks ago. Since that point my three kids have been calling it the Fonda, instead of the honda, since it only goes Forward, hence the Forward honda. A mechanic in LA stated the Transmission checked out as healthy – so the tranny itself is great, shifts through all the gears just fine, it just will not go in reverse. There are plenty of used trannys for 3-400, and if I had more time I would throw in a new tranny with a friend in a half day, or switch out the reverse gear. Without the reverse issue I would list it for 3G for sure. I honestly still drive it every day, I just need to park on a slope, or make sure I can’t get hemmed in – which makes it a bit of an adventure. If you are at all interested in the Fonda please email me and you can come and see it.
With all the money that is into it, and with all the reliable driving it still does, I’m listing it at $1250 or best offer. If I can’t get a good offer I’ll keep it. Please email/text/call me with any questions. Thank you! Eight zero 5 nine 0 three twenty five ten.
