Vehicle Description
1.3 L 4 cylinder Swift (not GT) 5 speed . very clean example. 245,000 miles (it is 30 years old) but everything has been attended to- new timing belt, hoses, belts, plug, CV drive shaft boots. Good compression - average about 170 lbs per cylinder. Car runs great.
EPA rated 35 mpg gallon combined. 39 highway.(have original Suzuki window sticker- says 39 city/ 43 highway ) (typical newer car likely in the 15 mpg for local runs I believe)
new hood, fenders, repainted. very attractive car. new tires
Colorado car, purchased new in Fort Collins- one prior owner. no rust issues
Basic example. NO A/C, NO radio (amazing) ,Heater works, wipers work, lights work, hatchback struts hold up hatchback. early version car with tilt out rear quarter glass (great for ventilation when no A/C)
If you want a fuel efficient car for local driving or rural usage, this is a great car. I wouldn't advise I-25 use- not a great car for driving 75 mph-surrounded by bigger, impatient driver SUVs and trucks. Driven sensibly, this car will last forever. It truly can't go down in value-new cars keep getting more costly.
"Nearly half of all American vehicle trips are under 3 miles, according to the Federal Highwy Administration'- you don't need a 5000 lb SUV to run to the store for a gallon of milk.
If cheap fuel hadn't turned car buyers to larger vehicle 20 years ago the US wouldn't be in the current mess it is in, I feel. in 2000 there were so many fuel efficient, very basic cars on the road. Little cars that accomplished what the owners wanted- getting from A to B inexpensively. 99% of them are gone.
I am pricing this car sensibly. I am not interested in inflating the selling price to haggle back and forth. This isn't a 'project car' - it has current emissions and is ready to use.
If you are a long distance purchaser (since I doubt there are any rust free examples available east of Colorado) I can assist if you want a transporter to bring the car to you.
Clear title of course.
