vid of last year driving around hwy 280 (you may have to copy the link and paste it into your browser) :
Runs and drives. It's stored in the garage, I don't drive it much at all since the partial restoration. Sounds great with the sports exhaust. Gets great mpgs since it's a 4 cylinder engine. It's not a fast car. I average around 23 in town, and near 38mpg on the hwy if I'm careful.
306k miles. Previous owner was a BMW tech who worked on the engine (contact card included). Besides that, these engine blocks are known to be extremely reliable and getting 500k miles isn't unheard of. New transmission clutch. Shifts great.
Lots of new parts (all listed below)
Clean title in hand (not in my name)
It's a 5 speed manual. I can teach you the basics of how to drive it.
It's almost a 30 year old car, don't expect perfection. It will get you from point A to B if you take care of it.
E36s are starting to appreciate like the older E30s have.
Nov-Dec 2021 through Jan 2022. I have receipts for all of these parts which will be included in the sale:
-All new cooling hoses, including engine intake hoses.
-Four new Bosch spark plugs (two prong). I'm including 4 other NGK single prong plugs that have less than 5k miles on them. Just wanted to see if two prongs would increase performance a bit).
-New thermostat (installed Jan-2022) with a new victor gasket
-Thoroughly cleaned and polished the thermostat housing.
-New fan clutch (installed Jan-2022)
-Added fresh coolant (proper blue coolant type)
-New coolant temp sensor
-New coolant temp sending unit
-4x reman Bosch injectors. Old ones will be included (one still works. the other 3 are shot).
-New Facet temp sending unit sensor
-New BMW engine inlet water hose
-New BMW radiator and engine return hose.
-New water pipe to throttle body hose
-New BMW Vacuum Distribution Line - 13531739618

-Check engine light on. Emissions (o2 sensors)
-Small holes on the back of the convertible top, and loose headliner.
The temperature gauge needle doesn't work (I ran a self test, and it's the temp gauge that's defective. The red temperature warning light does work, however. All the other gauges work fine.
No AC compressor (heat works perfect at max setting only
Speakers are shot, but radio works.
Missing trim pieces inside cabin
-
I'm including a bunch of extra parts.
I'm having second thoughts of selling it. Put a lot of money and sweat in it. It's an almost finished project that you can work on as you drive it to school, work etc.
