Vehicle Description
We are selling our G20 van that we've used for countless adventures in the last 4-5 years. This thing is a beast, and already has a custom built bed in it. The bed is not a regular size (Queen, King, etc.) but measures about the size of a King (although it is a bit shorter and a bit wider than a traditional King). The custom cut mattress is VERY firm. Maybe a little too firm but we've done fine on it the last 5 years. A important note on this van - we built this van out 5 years ago when we had absolutely no tools, no driveway or garage to work in, nothing really, so it's not the best craftmanship ever but it is VERY sturdy and well built. It has held me and my wife plus our 4 dogs many times with no problem at all. This is a 1994 so there are some things that are "wrong" with it:
- A/C does not work (although it has A/C it is an older type and takes R-35, I think, and I have never been able to find a mechanic to refill this kind of A/C so we've gone without it the last 5 years)
- Windshield is broken (welcome to CO)
- Front console does not match (this is because when we bought the van it was already gutted to we had to find a similar one at a junkyard)
- Drivers power seat DOES NOT WORK
- No Radio
- Shifts hard (mostly between 1st to 2nd gear, I've had this looked at many times by mult mechanics and they all say that it's not a problem with the transmission it's just the shifting mechanism that makes it shift hard, have never had problems with slipping in gear, etc.)
- Various cosmetic imperfections (from the outside to the inside this is the "nicest" looking van but what she lacks in beauty she makes up for in raw power)
- The speedometer can get janky sometimes when slowing down from high speeds (i.e. if you're on the highway and need to break sometimes the speedometer starts acting up)
Ok so here are some things that are "right" with it:
- Mechanically SOUND; when we got the van 4-5 years ago we replaced a lot of stuff including:
- brake pads
- rotors
- shocks
- 5 brand new Wrangler off road tires
- new muffler
- fixed a leak in the raised top, no further issues
- custom built bed with enough space underneath for storage, etc.
- New alternator less than 2 years ago
- Changed transmission fluid when purchased (drop pan and refill), and all other fluids when needed (changed oil every 3,000-4,000 miles)
- New wipers
- Covered inside with insulation to help keep warm during the winter
- Removed side skirts to increase clearance
- Coated top with reflective RV paint to help keep cool in the summer
- Lament Wood flooring
- Only 2 pervious owners (other than me, so you'll be the 4) and both previous owners used this van for ONLY highway travel, we've only used this van for highway travel and the occasional off-road adventure
I'm sure there is more but that's all I can remember right now. As stated above, this thing is beast. It has a 35 gallon tank which means it has pretty good range before you have to fill-up making it ideal for long adventures. It rides smooth, like a big truck or something similar. I've towed with this van, hauled with this van, etc., and has never let me down. I've only ever had it break down once (and it even got us home before "breaking down") and that was only because it needed a new alternator. Other than that one time I've never had this van break down on us and only other issues I've ever had is with the battery. The tires are pretty much still new, although they could use a rotation. Oil could be changed and the inside could be cleaned, but other than that she is pretty much ready to go. Not saying she's gonna be the best looking van on the block but she's going to get you where you need to go. Remember this van is from 1994 and all the work that was done inside was done with No Tools, No Garage, and limited to no handyman skills. Although everything is VERY sturdy and probably way too overbuilt, it will last forever and never let you down.
I am firm on price and don't need help selling. Will not answer calls on weekends or during regular business hours, so please text or email for a faster response. More pictures can be sent upon request from serious buyer. Clean title in hand. Will consider real trade offers (if you offer me something crazy I'll probably just not respond).
