Vehicle Description
We've owned this van for almost 10 years now, and it's done very well by us, though looking back, there has been a fair amount of work done over that time. It now has ~210k on it, but it's still running pretty strong. The tags are current, through January. The paint on the hood and roof are showing a bit of fading - the common thing where the clear coat gets worn out on these older cars. I don't have a good picture of it, but I can try to get one soon to add to this.
Replaced head gaskets and EGR valve 6-7 years ago. Replaced entire fuel system, including pipes and fuel tank, pump, injectors, etc 5 years ago. Replaced the water pump and a couple of times, including just 6 months ago, and at that time I also replaced the radiator, hoses, timing chain, and harmonic balancer. The battery is probably 1 year old. I just had an issue where the ignition wire shorted out on the block. I repaired that and replaced the wire loom in that area. It now also has a new ignition switch, because the old one had quite a bit of power go through the contacts and I didn't trust it. The old switch is included as a spare. Of course there's been plenty of other various things, but I think you get the picture, and I forget a bunch of the details.
Speaking of spare parts, I have a small box with a bunch of random stuff that I kept for the van that goes with it. (Unless someone *REALLY* doesn't want them, I guess.) New upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends, because it could use an alignment, and the ones on it are pretty old. I don't know if they really need changing, but they're relatively cheap, so I was going to change them just before I took it in. There's a new door handle, some switches and what-not. Also factory repair manuals for the van that I plan to send with it.
We've bought a couple of new cars now, as I got a job that keeps me busy, but pays decently, and the kids are getting to driving age. (We want the newer safety features.) So this one has to go now. I think we've put 60-80k on it in the past 9 years that we owned it, and a lot of good memories.
It says AWD, and it originally was, but I pulled out the front differential and axles, except for the stubs that hold the wheels on, because the transfer case is not allowing any slip between the front and rear wheels, and it seemed overly expensive to try to replace that. All the mounting points are still there if you're interested in replacing that hardware.
Oh, it also has a video screen for the kids in the back, and it worked great for road trips, but the last big one we went on, it lost power. I still never did try to track that down. I had it all wired up to a Raspberry Pi, and it still has the wiring for that, but the power issue would still need to be looked at.
It has a 2 inch receiver trailer hitch on it, as well as a flat 4-wire trailer plug, but that's inside the passenger compartment when not being used.
It has dual bench seats, and the middle section of each one folds down and has a tray for snacks and a couple of cup holders in them. The van seats 8, and all the seat belts work. With the rear seats removed, it easily fits 4x8 sheets of plywood/sheetrock/whatever, and a 10 foot long piece of lumber or pipe will fit inside the van on the floor between the front two seats and all the way to the back of it, with a few inches to spare.
The front tires are getting a bit low in the tread, with the rear ones a bit better, but not amazing. If we were to keep it, I would be planning to replace the front tires within the next 5k or so, and the rear ones possibly at the same time, though they might have 10k more in them. It is about time for an oil change in it as well. Fuel and air filter were replaced not that long ago.
If there are any questions, just let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.
I don't know what this is worth. I plan to just lower it a bit each week until the price matches what someone out there wants. I don't want a lot of hassle - I have enough other things to keep me busy. :)
