139,100 Miles
The 993 is collectible for a lot of reasons. It’s not just that it’s the last air-cooled Porsche. It’s the blend of classic 911 looks, heritage and sound with modern technology and conveniences. With its wide, muscular bulges in all the right places, many consider it to be the best looking of all 911s, and it’s certainly one of the most rewarding cars to drive, even if some of the newer 911s are quicker. With a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds, this one’s no slouch.
Owned since 1997, this Carrera is one of only 1,767 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupes produced. The car is stock, with no modifications or changes (except for the modern radio). Factory options include 17 in. wheels with colored wheel caps, LSC, ABD (traction control), 17”, 8-way power seats (both), and cruise control. Its A/C works well and blows cold.
This 993 has been assiduously maintained by its owner and qualified Porsche shops and technicians, with detailed records and receipts going back to 1997, with the engine completely rebuilt and more at 105,849 miles by a well known senior Porsche technician. It is in excellent condition. There are stone chips on the hood, but, oddly enough, not the front bumper. It rides on recent (1 yr. old, very low miles) BFG G-Force Sport tires. It comes with all books, spare, compressor, jack, tools, and extra keys. A clean Carfax report is available.
Motor Sport Magazine succinctly proclaimed, “This is by far the best 911 so far”. Car and Driver remarked that “this is the first 911 that’s truly chuckable, and you would have to do something stupid to get into trouble. All the involving intricacies of the chassis’ personality are still there to be savored.”
