Vehicle Description
I'm selling my Toyota Previa van. It was in an accident on September 24th of this year. I initially wanted to fix it up myself but I do not have space to do so at the moment so I'm putting it up for sale.
This is a 1995 Previa, AWD Supercharged. I purchased it from a friend in 2014. He had owned it for approximately 4 years and that entire time he kept up with regular maintenance. I have done the same in the time I've had it and all parts replaced (by myself or him) have been OEM parts. I have all bills/receipts to prove this.
In 2016, I had the engine replaced by a guy named Samay who is a Northwest specialist in these vans. Any fans of Previas in Seattle probably know Samay. The old engine had a head crack which is a common issue in Previas. The old engine had 287,000 miles on it. He installed an engine imported from Japan which had mileage around 50-70k. The current mileage is nearly 328,000. The engine works perfectly and starts every time.
There are no leaks whatsoever from the engine, transmission, transfer case, etc. Also, the engine does not burn oil. The last thing I remember replacing are spark plugs and wires, rear shocks, brake disks/pads.
Up until the accident it drove perfectly. It is still drivable but I would not suggest long distances. I was able to make it home after the accident which was near exit 177 on I-5 and I live off of exit 186. I did stop once to pour water into the radiator as the radiator is damaged.
I planned on replacing the front struts, the cracked rubber boot on front right axle (I believe entire axle needs to be replaced or maybe just a new boot), front windshield wipers, and the windshield (it is cracked and I recommend replacing it, but the crack was there when my friend purchased it) prior to the accident. Also, the ABS lights were on prior to the accident. I had a mechanic check and he said the front ABS sensor needs replacement.
Due to it being in an accident the hood, grill, and other small front parts that are underneath the grill need replacement. New radiator is also needed. The turn signal lamps are whole but the mounting brackets are broken. Headlights do not have cracks and mounting brackets also appear to be whole. I do not think any body work is needed, just unscrewing parts and replacing them.
My plan was to purchase another Toyota and replace all of the parts I needed. I have been checking Craigslist and there were two other Previas in the same color but both with engine problems (one in Bellingham area and one near Seattle). They were priced around $500-$700 each; these would be a good idea for a donor car as they are the same color and you do not need any painting done.
The exterior paint is in good shape for its age but it obviously has some flaws such as dents/scratches. The interior is leather. Passenger seat has a crack but overall the interior is very clean and in good condition. I always try to keep my cars clean. Tires are in good shape and new ones were installed around 20k miles ago.
The battery is bad but I do have another battery that you can use to test it out around the neighborhood.
I tried to describe everything to the best of my ability but if you have any specific questions please feel free to ask.
I have clean title in hand.
