I have been driving this Suburban for 3+ years and I have heavily invested in preventative maintenance and reliability upgrades.
- New ball joints, idler arm and all front end bushings
- New shocks (All 4 corners)
- New water pump and both thermostats
- New Fluiddampr harmonic balancer ($500 upgrade over stock)
- S&B Cold Air Intake system
- New drive belt

Previous owner made several upgrades right when I bought it:
- New Turbo
- New glow plugs
- 4" Stainless Exhaust
- PMD relocation kit

The tires are Cooper AT3 (256/75r16) with less than 15k miles on them.
4x4 works perfectly
I have not used it for heavy towing, just pulling a 20' boat from time to time.
I average 17.5mpg in mixed driving and 20+ highway

This being a 1996 is the best of both worlds. Classic GMT800 Chevy styling with ABS, Airbags and OBD2 scanport.

The paint is not perfect and there is some surface rust underneath. The interior is in pretty good shape. A/C recently recharged and blows cold even in the back.

Carry 9 people in comfort and haul anything around. I've fit a full size refrigerator in the back before. Come see for yourself. Fires up with no hesitation.
