Vehicle Description
I love this truck. I bought it with the intent of teaching myself how to work on an restore cars, and turn this into a rad off-road vehicle that I could take hunting, fishing, camping, or just go and play in the snow. I have rebuilt and/or upgraded almost every system on this vehicle. I had dreams of sutting on a push bar, skid plate, winch, and some off road lights, for the most capable adventure vehcle out there. After I put new tires on, even in really wet and slick snow and ice I didn't need the 4 wheel drive. Drives like its on tracks, it is such a stable and solid vehicle. I really will be sorry to see it go.
So why would I sell this if its such a great truck? I was accepted to Flight School with the US Navy, and am not going to be able to give this vehicle the time and energy it deserves. It is nearly mechanically flawless, and can be built up even more than the beast it already is. The exterior needs some body work, and the interior could use alittle bit too. I included a front jump seat if you would rather have a dog be able to sit up close to you rather than the center console, your choice.
This can be a really great truck for someone to have alot of fun in. I am negotiable about the price. All I ask is that you send pictures when its done.
the truck has:
Mechanical-
EFI 351 Windsor V8 with a high volume air intake
high voltage ignition coil, and iridium long gap spark plugs
A1 Cardone high capacity Power Steering pump with new hoses, new tie rods, new front sway bar, Rancho steering stabilizer (dual chamber)
Completely rebuilt and boosted power brakes with new master cylinder, new lines and rebuilt drums (new front pads included)
High capacity fuel injectors (in box for install), fuel booster pump and 33 gal tank, new fuel filter (less than 1k miles on filter)
Completely new rear leaf springs and Skyjacker black MAXX shocks (dual front and single rear)
Spare tire carrier added with New Full size spare
ll wheels have less than 10k Miles on them and are Dick Cepek Mud and Snow tires, 35"
4" wheel lift and 3" body lift
Bolt of nerf bars so that you can get in and out easy, and can be quickly removed for some rock crawling action
Ford 8.8" rear end with 3.73 gears and a limited slip diff
electronic transfer case. 4x4 and low range work great.
900 Watt Amp, 2000 Watt subwoofer, Stereo with USB and bluetooth option
New Rear window, motor, tracks, seals
Exterior:
The entire rear half has been ground down, re-re sealed, heavy coat, and then rubberized undercoat applied for skid plates, frame, and chassis, font clip has been ground re sealed, and heavy coated.
The rear quarters have a little rust (maybe 4" square), I have included the necessary material to rebuild, seal and paint the panels. Body shop quoted a full fix fill and repaint of the entire vehicle including door jams for $5k
Interior:
Full leather interior, some rips in leather, dash is slightly worn. Full refurbish quoted at $1k.
Unknowable:
The Odometer reads 250k miles. However, because of how smoothly the engine runs and how it has never given me grief, I believe that it was rebuilt and well taken care of by a previous owner. I did not receive any paperwork to verify this, but my mechanic believed that this was the case as well. The 351w is one of the greatest engines that Ford has ever designed with an average life of 500-600k miles even without a rebuild. The rebuild cost at a machine shop runs about $1k.
