Vehicle Description
For sale is a 1997 Ford Econline 150 that has been built out to be a camper van. It has a high roof so that it is possible for someone of average height to stand up straight inside. There is a fixed bed platform with plenty of space for storage underneath. It comes with a 100 watt solar panel and solar charge controller already installed. The battery and inverter are missing after a recent break-in where some other camper van items were removed, but they can all be easily replaced. I lived comfortably in this van for over a year with my cat(while being connected to water and electricity), and took great care of it at the time.
Unfortunately, I have let the van sit for some time and it now has some mechanical issues. It technically runs, but when I turn it on it revs very high so I haven't driven it. Prior to it sitting for over a year (I know, sorry…), it ran and drove just fine, though. I was doing regular maintenance on it. The only issues I was aware of at that time were 1) the front passenger ball joints need repairing, according to the latest safety check 2)there’s something wrong with the cruise control where it would randomly turn on and off, but I solved this by just removing the fuse for the cruise control, and 3) it would sometimes rev high when idling, and 4) it needs an alignment. I had an inspection done on the van prior to it sitting for some time, and those were the only issues pointed out. I have replaced the master cylinder and the brakes.
I know that at this time it does need a fair amount of mechanical work to be operational, that’s why I’m pricing it accordingly and willing to accept offers. I personally don’t have the energy to fix it up because I’m trying to leave town soon and I have a smaller (and less purple lol) van that I'll be using for my travels. I know that it is a very spacious camper vehicle, though, so if someone needed a dwelling space on wheels, this is a great option in that respect. I’m also willing to tow it to your preferred location with my AAA, although it is possible that you could drive it while it is revving highly, I suppose. Please feel free to make me an offer, or message me with any other questions you might have.
