1996 Land Rover Discovery SE7. 5-speed Manual Transmission

Runs.but not great. Needs engine work and several other repairs. I think that the cylinder sleeves have slipped. It will usually run rough for about 30-60 minutes and then stall, unable to restart until the next day or so. Smokes a lot when it runs. I have some used parts, including a starter, that will go with it. Engine was replaced once with a used Range Rover 4.0L engine as I recall, but it never ran correctly with the replacement engine.

Needs new battery. I start it with a jumper battery pack currently.

Front doors have had wires cut so that the doors remove easily. However, this means that the electronics in the door (including electric windows) do not currently function. Can be repaired by connecting wires again.

Some body damage, especially the front passenger door, back bumper. The side step rails are coming off, held on with straps right now. Headlights held in with straps. It had a snow plow attached to the front, so the front bumper was removed.

*Brakes do not work! Tire chains ripped one of the brake lines off (driver's side rear brake). Will need replacing.

Cracked windshield

Would make a nice off road vehicle, or good as a parts vehicle.

Will need to tow from current location (near Ute Pass - North of Silverthorne)
