Used 1996 Mercedes Benz C36 AMG for sale in Hoffman Estates, IL

Selling a 1996 Mercedes C36 AMG, factory stock, all original equipment with no modifications. This rare classic from the mid 90’s was a limited edition sport sedan with only 1,012 imported in the U.S. from 1995-1997, and only 338 imports in 1996, according to official statistics at C36-AMG.com.
This vehicle has a low mileage of 129k. The inline 6-cylinder engine runs smooth and strong without hesitation with the impressive 268 hp @ 284 lb-ft. Transmission shifts through all gears relentlessly providing steady acceleration, with no slipping, kicking or delay.
The exterior has been well preserved, it shows less than a normal wear for it's age. The paint still has the deep transparent shine and gloss with just a handful blemishes throughout the body, such as scratches, and small dings. Front and rear bumper, all chrome ornaments and plastic trims are in impeccable shape. All glass panels have no cracks chips or discoloration. The original AMG Monoblock wheels are in excellent condition, and the matching all-season tires have with less than 7k miles on them. (Couple of the center wheel caps would need to be replaced as the paint is peeling off the plastic)
The black leather interior shows no sign of wear for its 28 year of life so far. None of the leather surface has tears, rips or stains. All electronics work as they should with the exception of the sporadic miss of the radio to power up, as well as the rear driver’s side window, which will possibly need a new window regulator or a window motor. The dash shows a SRS light on, a common issue for most Mercedes vehicles, as seat belt restraining system sensors fail due to age. Headliner would probably need attention as it has started to sag a bit from the rear windshield.
The factory exhaust system sits tight, free from rattles and noises, containing the original AMG chrome tips.
This vehicle is a rare find and would make a great addition to the private inventory of collectors or enthusiasts.
