1996 Camry LE - Mechanic Special
I bought this car for my daughter to drive to school, a year ago and the engine is running strong. Car suddenly die while driving inner city. Car keep cranking but no sparks.
I did some basic diagnostic checks;
1. fuel pump is working fine.
2. distributor is working fine.
3. timing belt still in good condition.
4. rapid fire component is working fine.
5. starter coil is working fine.
I replace some new parts;
1. battery (less then 6 months ago)
2. crank sensor.
3. alternator
4. new spark plugs
Car still cannot start. I have a mechanic came and he suspected the off market alarm system might be the cause. I did open the cover under the steering will to check out the wiring but too complicated. I am giving up and selling this instead. No time to trouble shoot. This car is not running so you need to tow this car away when you buy it.
