Vehicle Description
1997 Buick LeSabre - $500 obo - cash only
View in Hayfield near fire department - will not meet or deliver.
Purchased at the end of June 2019 in Rochester – Seller reported engine code about a map sensor, removed part of grill and installed a light bar, and removed cover from steering wheel due to it heating up and sounding the horn while parked. Had mismatched mirror and two dents on driver’s side of vehicle.
Upon driving it home, we noticed the transmission is slipping – especially in overdrive. When in 3rd gear, it is fine unless you hover between 45-55 mph. We replaced the map sensor and noticed a coolant leak shortly after purchasing vehicle. It was running rough – we replaced all spark plugs and swapped coil packs with those from a comparable vehicle. Also changed the oil and replaced oil and air filter.
Water pump seal broke Oct 3rd, 2019 – we had the vehicle towed back to Hayfield. We replaced the water pump and seal – does not leak coolant anymore. It could use a new belt and is now running rough again. Needs new tires.
Everything else works great – interior has no smell and minimal damages. Radio has a cassette that’s been stuck in it at the time we purchased it. Always starts up. Tabs current until July 2020 - clean title in hand. Vehicle is sold as-is.
