Vehicle Description
This van has been my daily driver since I bought it in May of 2017. I have put nearly 40,000 miles on it in that time, including 3 road trips. I just drove her down the east coast, through Appalachia to Nashville and back in the first half of July. This is the perfect vehicle for anyone who feels the call of the road, needs to travel for work, or simply aspires to live the van life. The previous owner showed me receipts for the engine that he replaced at 205,000 miles and I installed a whole new powertrain control module at 247,000 miles. A new fuel pump and fuel pump relay, brake shoe set, fuel pump hoses and windshield wipers have all been installed in the time I’ve had the car. Brake job and new rotors at 236,000 miles. Recent coolant flush and regular oil changes. Receipts for most of the work I’ve done on this car are available for serious buyers. The 4 liter engine gets amazing gas mileage Considering the size of the vehicle. If you want, I can include the mattress, the deep cell battery that I use for electricity when the car is off, and the LED lights that I often use at night, the curtains for the windows, etc.
Full disclosure: I have never had a sticker on this car for as long as I've owned it. Driving safely kept me from ever getting pulled over for it. The main issue as far as state inspection is concerned is the exhaust leak. One of the two bolts that attaches the pipe from the exhaust manifold to the muffler blew out (so the pipes aren’t held precisely flush, thus the exhaust leak). The way it was explained to me by my mechanic is that if he tried to replace the missing bolt, there's a 50/50 chance that getting it into position could break the pipe that leads to the muffler in the process (because it could be somewhat brittle from the rust down there) which would necessitate replacing the whole muffler (ordering and installing the muffler would have taken 4-5 days, and I could never risk be without a car for that long... that's why I never had the work done). I was given an estimate of 120 for this job if the pipe held, and 350 if the muffler needed to be replaced. The one other problem that came up the one time I went for the state inspection was the fact that the horn is not working (unfortunately it's not a issue with the fuse - the horn itself needs to be replaced). Since then, two things that have come up which I think may need to be addressed are the right side mirror and the taillight. The Front right mirror got cracked about 6 months ago. It's still usable, but might not be passable at inspection. The taillight and the break lights work, but when breaking the right taillight goes dim now. I’ve had cops behind my while breaking at night and I've never been pulled over for it, but I could see an inspector taking issue with it (The way they often nitpick to gleam work from failing people). Unrelated to inspection; the driver’s side key barrel is messed up, the gas gauge is broken and the high beams no longer work. No AC/ Heat
Willing to sell for less to find her a good home. Open to vehicle trades. Text or call me at show contact info or shoot me an email.
