Vehicle Description
This is a 1997 Chevy C3500 with a service bed, auto transmission, lift gave, AC, and the 6.5L diesel engine. The truck is in really good shape and runs great. The transmission shifts nicely. The lift gate does have a 2 inch receiver on it which is really useful since most lift gates prevent being able to tow. I just changed the oil and several of the tires are new. This truck belonged to a local distributor and had fleet maintenance all of its life.
The issues on the truck:
The AC blows cold, but only out of the lower vents. The issue is with the motor that operates the diverter flap in the HVAC. These can be replaced without taking apart the dashboard.
The lift gate works but when it is up, the gate will slowly come down. This is due the the hydraulic cylinder needing new seals.
One of the tool boxes could use a new bottom plate. The rest of them are in good shape.
