Vehicle Description
1996 Dodge B2500 Coachmen 3/4 ton van with tow hitch and 30 gallon tank.
135,000 original miles.
New water pump and front tires.
Newer Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth/Hands free Phone/CD/MP3 etc.
VAVA Dash Cam with original box, manuals, etc.
Two additional 12volt lighter plug in for accessories.
This van is obviously older but (almost) everything works including the heat and air conditioning, cruise control, electric windows, electric door locks, all lighting inside and out, and pull down window blinds.
What doesn't work are the rear seat belts, both front doors are a little finicky. The passenger side door is sticky while the driver's side hinge has dropped making it a bit harder to close/latch without lifting the door a bit. There is rust on the lower side panels and doors, especially on the passenger side. Right side front turn signal light lens broke but it has a amber bulb so it still works and is legal. And the interior is showing a lot of wear, faded color, etc.
The issues that should probably be addressed are:
The engine throws a O2 sensor code occasionally. It's been doing this for probably the past ten years. Recently the ABS brake light goes on and off, sometimes after a bump in the road. I'm guessing corroded buss connectors. The fuel tank has a leak somewhere on the top of the tank, I'm guessing the fuel pump seal gasket. So if you fill it up it will slosh fuel out and you can smell it, but it doesn't leak out, just the smell. So I never put more than $25.00 in at a time.
So far it has passed vehicle inspection every two years with only one issue about 6 years ago which was a rotted tail pipe. All in all it's been a great vehicle and I will miss it, but I moved into an apartment in December and now it's street parked and rarely gets used, so it's time to part with it.
