Excellent Condition - showroom like new, everything functions perfectly. Perfectly maintained! Only driven on sunny days and always garage kept. I’m the second owner and purchased it from a friend in 2007. New tires and battery. Everything functions perfectly, all issues were proactively corrected. I maintain the XK8 as though I am about to enter the Amelia Island Concours d' Elegance.
Thanks for your interest in the XK8. I’m an mechanical engineer and a machine designer/builder. The XK8 has been my pride and joy since it’s purchase. It’s always stored in a climate controlled garage, driven only on sunny days. It’s truly showroom condition. Parked in the corporate covered parking garage. The oil and filter were replaced every 5k miles with Mobil-1. All the maintenance procedures have been logged into the original maintenance log book. I have the original window sticker.
Restoration work completed:
Cam Chain Tensioner:
I proactively replaced cam chain tensioners with the 3rd revision aluminum tensioners shortly after I purchase the XK8 in 2007. There have been no issues since the repair 14 years ago.
Transmission rebuild:
I removed and rebuilt the ZF 5HP24s automatic transmission - before the problematic B drum failed and replaced with the OEM ZF branded revised and strengthened B drum. The rebuild included the OEM ZF 5HP24s branded rebuild kit and OEM ZF branded transmission fluid shortly after I purchase the XK8 in 2007. There have been no issues since the repair 10 years ago.
Water Pump:
The water pump, hoses and glass filled nylon pump housing was also replaced with the revised aluminum housings.
Power Steering Pump:
The power steering pump was rebuilt with the jag original branded rebuild kit. Additionally the power steering hydraulic lines were replaced.
Front Wheel Bearings:
The front wheel bearings were also replaced along with the rotors and pads.
