Vehicle Description
I picked up this truck with plans to replace my wife's aging Honda with it. It turns out, she loves her car and isn't interested in owning this. I'm a classic car guy who doesn't need a 3rd SUV in the driveway and have no interest in anything newer than 1987, so. this one will be leaving the fleet.
I've been driving it for 2+ years, and it's been ultra reliable, comfortable, the ac blows cold, and it runs like a Swiss watch. Passes emissions, no check engine light.
I've driven it about 25K miles in 2 years with zero breakdowns, running it 85 mph down the highway regularly. It seats 7 people. The rear row of seats are in excellent condition. The front seats have been completely reupholstered with new foam.
I've done a bunch of preventative maintenance and upgrade stuff, thinking it was going to my wife.;
new wheels and tires ($2300)
new catalytic converters
4 new shocks
new windshield and seal
battery
front seat covers ($1000)
bluetooth stereo, speakers
all aluminum radiator
water pump, all belts, hoses, thermostat and coolant
rear axle seals
front hub rebuild with wheel bearings and axle seals
fresh oil change
I fabbed the bumpers for it
I cleaned out the EGR passage in the intake and throttle body
Replaced EGR vacuum control valve
It has 392k miles on it, which is why I'm not asking $18k for it. It has been extremely well maintained by my father-in-law for all but the first 2 years of it's life. These are notoriously 500k mile engines and then some. The transmission shifts beautifully and has never slipped. Transfer case also works flawlessly.
Here's are the 2 cosmetic things that it needs;
-The carpet has been removed.
-The 2nd row of seats need covers (which are available through landcruiserheaven.com, where I bought the front ones). I have found that they're perfect for not needing to yell at your kids for spilling stuff on them and concluded I'd reupholster them once my boys were grown.
That's it.
Thanks, Todd
