Vehicle Description
My dark green Saab 9000 Turbo hatchback is my daily driver; I'm selling it only because it has an automatic transmission and I have just found a 5-speed, which I prefer.
It runs very well, but it does have some issues:
1. Occassionally hesitates while driving, very occasionally stalls; does not throw a code.
- mechanic thinks the problem is in the fuel system
- This is the reason I have dropped the price.
2. One ABS sensor not working (light illuminated on dash)
3. Rear oxygen sensor not working (throws a check engine code)
4. Front-right corner seems to have been bumped:
a. the parking-side light is a little out of its socket but works fine
b. te hood sticks up a little, but it does close and latch shut.
5. There is a little 'bubbling' on the left front pillar which is probably rust starting.
6. The undercarriage looks good but there is a little rust;
7. The driver's seat has some cracks and a small tear covered with tape. I can swap-in a better one from my 1998 Anniversary edition 9000 for an additional $300 (this is a parts car and for sale, too).
On the plus side, the exhaust system is in good shape and there is reasonable rubber left on the tires. The interior is comfortable and spacious with a ton of storage space, even more with the back seats down. Upgrade options include:
1. Saab trailer hitch, ($200)
2. Saab factory roof-rack ($100)
3. Set of 4 1998 Super-Aero 16" wheels with Saab logo on the hubs in ok condition ($300)
4. 1998 Anniversary cherry-and-leather steering wheel ($600)
It has been looked after by the same mechanic for many years and the service records are available. My 9000 is a very smooth and fast car and considerable fun to drive!
I will be posting more pictures in a day or so, but would be happy to answer any questions or set up an appointment for a test drive.
