Used 1997 Torch Red Corvette C5 Coupe lots of upgrades newly rebuilt for sale in Charleston, SC

I am the 2nd owner the original buyer bought the car in 1997 for almost 40k and I bought it from him because he was not able to get in and out of it due to his age.
I also buy cars, trucks , SUVs every year even brand new 2021 as long as the deal is right! I pay finder fees cash if the deal is good up to $1000 cash! If I can make $$ pass the deal to me and make fast money! I even pay off title loans/Dealership liens any amount plus will throw you some money so you can put a downpayment on another ride.

I have the nicest 1997 c5 Corvette in Charleston maybe in SC! I might be willing to pull the stereo and amp/speaker and sell the car for $13,500! Keep in mind you will not be able to view the cameras without it etc. Also keep in mind to try and do the work and buy it would be $4000-$5000 unless you can do it all yourself and still close to that. Maybe you only care about the Vette if so $13,500! Also for $13,500 I’ll leave the amp/sub and all cameras and just pull the Kenwood stereo.

Posting pictures of what the first shop quoted $7k and I did not use them because they are a rip off on the quote. I am showing this so you can see I had all the work done and much more. The shop on the picture would of charged 20k min for the work I had done, they even said it later when I told them how much work I had completed and that I had the Vette perfect now they was amazed at how much work versus what I paid to get it all finished.

The custom work just the red/black leather was $1000+ probably. Also the guy I bought the Vette from told me the rims and tires cost $2500 personally I don’t like the rims but since I put so much into it was not about to also buy rims but I did buy tires that match which that is expensive to get the exact match.

Also important to note the $7k the shop
quoted me was to check stuff not actually fix it they said to fix would be much more after they checked it all. I will say this you can buy a 2000 C5 for $15k but you will put 10k in it just to fix what is needed maybe more and still not have a Vette nearly as nice as mine!

I’ll trade also for the right ride and even upgrade and pay you if I like what you have. Even if you have a 2020 Tahoe/Benz/ Range Rover, Antique car, Luxury paid off let’s talk! I am up to listen because I’ll I will do is flip it after I give you the Vette and 20/30k cash or whatever we come up with. No junk! Do not text me with junk! I put less than 50 miles a month on the car.

This Corvette has had so many upgrades let me start with the most important one! I had the transmission rebuilt by one of the best shops in Charleston and 3 year transferable warranty comes with the deal! I might of put 1200 miles on the car since the trans was rebuilt less than 1 year ago because I barely drive it.

The shop I used only rebuilds usually police cars for Charleston and near by cities and their SUVs/K9 so they are the very best at what they do! After they rebuilt it they said it was a 17hr job and worth $5000 because they did it right. Only 2nd gear was burned up but they replaced every part in it so he said you now have a $5000 transmission that will last 100s of thousands of miles. Most shops will never write a transferable warranty but he did ask a shop and see!

My Vette has all lights upgraded to LED again top of the line. I have all matching interior the most wanted red/black leather even LED red lights all inside! The first thing I did when I bought the Vette was fix every single code that came up and I have receipts of near 8k! The Vette runs like it’s brand new! I have multiple extra parts with it including 2 ICP’s extra one is like brand new with 112k miles on it. If you know anything about Vettes you will know on the c5 it’s common the ICP messes up so I pulled dash sent off to be rebuilt to brand new, worked awhile then same ICP issue so I decided to buy a brand new one. Personally I’d pull the one send it off again so you keep it original since he will fix it free. You will have 3 IPCs total. OEM with 180k, Ebay one “temp used a week” 250k miles and a flawless one came out of a perfect Vette 112k after wrecked.

I know for a fact it’s the ICP because it was perfect a little while after rebuilt and the shop in Atlanta “best shop in ATL” where I sent it said they know why, to pull it out send back and they will correct it Free. I had the Aluminum bezel inserts put in the IPC also which look very nice! Check out pic of dash! I never cut corners so in my opinion this Vette is worth 20k easy!

The reason I went the more costly route of using original IPC was trying to keep it 100% original. The IPC in it that I had rebuilt is under warranty and the company I had rebuild it will fix the ground. While they rebuilt it I bought one off ebay with 250k miles “temp use” of course pulled it out and put the OEM rebuilt one back when I got it back from ATL. All the issue does it make the DIC buttons work intermittently. I might bring it back to the shop and get the one brand new w/100k miles put in it but if I do that the car will show 112k and not be original. The shop in Charleston told me that did most my work told me for $500 they will put the 112k mile IPC in and Aluminum insert bezel again plus put all the red/black leather boots since the center console will already be removed. I might do it all in a few weeks just to get it perfect!

I have the very best Kenwood/DVD/GPS in dash stereo made for 2021 in it with a dash cam that records 24/7 even if someone walks with in 10 ft of the car. I have multiple cameras in it if you are serious about buying it then I’ll show you in person. The car records regardless where a person is if they get near it at all!
The In dash unit sells for $1500 right now on Crutchfield.com that doesn’t include amp, sub 10in custom c5 box for sub, cameras,xm satellite etc. I also have a custom job done on the sub/amp I paid the best person in Charleston to install it and he does work on Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Range Rover, Bentley, Rolls Royce etc! The Kenwood I bought even has the feature to show me when cars are near me and a departure warning as pic shows. Also if you want you could pull the stereo put it in a new SUV/Car/Truck and it has the features to be able to read any new car ECM and all diagrams and features will work through the head unit! I have the original one comes with it also and dash console for it to fit. Just the dash console for this model stereo can cost $400!

That means it has 100s of features that work with any ECM of any car and some very neat stuff. This is a 97 Vette so it has some cool stuff but nothing like you would get if you dropped this Kenwood in a 2020-2022.

Again this stereo by itself sells for $1500! The Cams can be accessed by 1 button you do not have to put the car in reverse I made sure of that. You can drive it hit dash and it records the entire drive or reverse cam and it records wide range everything behind you for hours! You can turn on any cam anytime and non stop recording! Like a DVR! I even paid extra for the remote control and never use it! Apple Car Play is on it and works better than my 2020 Accord Hybrid Touring for as the features of what all the Stereo can do with gps and your iPhone or Samsung/Android the Bluetooth and wireless is amazing! Way better than my 50k Accord! I really can’t even put it into words how awesome the Bluetooth is for talking to people or talking to the stereo but again for a $1500 unit you get what you pay for!

We can talk about the price of what just the stereo custom install is worth if you are serious about buying my Vette. It’s so custom that all wires are ran so it appears factory built with xm satellite, front and rear cameras and much more! A lot I can’t explain on here for security reasons but the Vette is very much protected so if serious to buy with proof of funds I’ll show you.

I bought a few extra things not installed yet such as a matching top of the line red/black Steering Wheel leather cover, Matching Leather red/black gear shift boot , woodgrain stick, matching red/black leather E-Brake boot almost like a show car inside!

The Car is fast and I get noticed everywhere even professional racers and have stopped to look at my car when they saw it! I also installed a tuner best one made for c5’s and programmed it myself which comes with the car plus a few of the best scan tools made for it comes with it. I even have a custom red refrigerator that comes with the car a nice one! You can program it for how you want it to drive in 10 minutes or less and it completely changes how the car drives $500+ value.

The car has a no questions asked 16k insurance policy although I asked for 20k because that is what I feel it’s worth. The insurance company said it’s worth 16k. Full coverage cost me $30 a month.

Keep in mind they never add stereo, front , rear cam or any of the extra stuff I bought in the 1000s to make it look great! They also never add the 8k I paid extra to make the car perfect and prevent any possible problems down the road.

When I say I changed and repaired everything on the car I mean I replaced all the front and rear shocks with top of the line “did not even need them” I fixed the AC while the dash was off I had them change so many things that worked perfect to make sure nothing such as a cheap caution light wouldn’t break and cost someone $1000 to pull the dash back off to replace a $50 part. I even put a new windshield wiper motor, all lines for it plus windshield wipers total estimated $600+

I only bought the car to flip and although it’s very nice I put way too much $$ into something I never had plans to keep. I guess I started liking the car too much.

If you want a Vette you will never have to work on this is the Vette for you all brakes and brake lines replaced, and when you come see it I will tell you all the work that has been done but when I got the Vette a shop wanted 20k to get most the stuff repaired $5000 just to get the trans rebuilt.

I got lucky and found a great shop that did all the work for much less! I talked down the guy that rebuilt the trans over $1000 plus he replaced every part in the transmission!

It’s a beautiful car it has red lights inside it, it’s all red/black leather even the seats! I will entertain serious offers and I have even had people try to trade me 20k Harleys for it but I don’t know how to ride bikes. That should tell you the value!

The only downfall if it even matters is the engine itself has decent miles on it but if you know anything about a LS1 you know they last forever! The car uses no oil, no smoke and has 2 keyfobs, alarm works great! Clear title!

I even paid extra to make sure the stereo was bolted in so that no one can steal it! Look this car has it all so text me if you want to buy it! The guy that does stereo install does it on 200k+ cars so he knows how to do it right and so that the stereo is safe!

I am not hurting for $$ and refuse to give the car away. I almost bought a 2021 HellCat a few months ago and the bank said they would give me 16k on a title loan and loan me the rest to get the HellCat that should tell you it all!

Banks don’t give high amounts on title loans unless the car is worth it! If the car had less miles on the Engine it would be 30k+ car minimum! Jamison Corvette loved the car the only reason he didn’t buy it before me was because he only buys Vettes with low miles original. Jamison loved the car just so you know I tried to sell it to him after I got it perfect he said it was worth 10-12k that was before I done about 3k in extra stuff plus without the stereo.cams installed. He said if it had lower miles it would be a 30k car!

In my opinion it runs like it is brand new! I even bought the window Valet so you can use the keyfob to make the windows go down up plus racing features etc.

Call me only no wasting my time on text if you don’t have money please don’t bother me! I will post a few pics plus you can come look at it. No Joy rides and please know a good Vette when you see one because all I had to do was hear the car crank and bought it!

I’ll be glad to tell you everything I fixed , replaced when we talk plus I have receipts and kept original boxes for all the stereo equip. There is nothing on this Vette that will break I replaced all 4 tire sensors just those alone cost $1200! I am no fool so I used top of the line autozone universal ones and saved $600+

I took the dash off twice in 1 week $1500 and I think you get the idea and if you know Vettes the work I had done was well worth 10k-12k+

Lots of parts come with the Vette also! By time someone buys it I’ll probably put the like brand new IPC and all the matching boots and some other stuff might ask $16,500 then! Even the paint job to be a 97 looks great small normal chips etc. Targa top removes in 5 minutes all options on this model such as electric seats/windows/mirrors and more!

I have done an insane amount of extra stuff for as replaced parts that was perfect when the dash was removed! The car gets excellent gas mileage around 20+ city and 30+ Hwy even if you keep your foot on the pedal. The car has not really been raced “had to beat a few imports and GTs lol because they wanted to try a Vette” I have had it up to 150+ just to see how it would take it and the car wants to go fast let’s just put it like that! This is not a car you baby it’s a car you drive hard and it loves it!
