Vehicle Description
This 3.4L V6 4X4 was a mystery to me when I got it. The outward signs showed that it had been rode hard and put away wet, ex: paint and bondo work, replaced body panels, stained carpets. BUT, it has no rust for its age, make and model. ALL the electronics work, except CD player skips on bumps, and radio antenna is missing. Most of it's issues are cosmetic, but it does need head gaskets as described below.
Features include: new tires, leather seats, sunroof, tinted windows, husky floormats, two-piece front skid plate, gas tank skid plate, Bilstein shock absorbers, tow hitch receiver and ELECTRONIC REAR LOCKING DIFFERENTIAL.
I bought this car in an online auction, March of 2020, from an outfit in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It has been a reliable 4wd after fixing the few things wrong with it (listed below). I stopped driving it in April of this year, for a van with better mpg. After a week, I went to move it and the engine was hydro-locked. The battery was less than 3 months old and fully charged. I jump started it to prove the starter worked. Coolant was very low and white smoke was coming out the exhaust. It burned coolant since I bought it, and the head gaskets must have degenerated enough over the last few years to reach this point. subsequently the heater does not work because of the compromised coolant system.
service work:
regular oil and filter change
new tires (Hercules terra track A/T II OWL) not mounted (2/18/2022)
new windshield
installed new Bilstein struts
installed skid plate
installed engine fan
replaced plugs and wires
replaced battery (2/18/2022)
replaced lower right side ball joint (3/4/2022)
replaced turn lights
replaced driver side tail light
replaced radiator
replaced A/C compressor
recharged A/C
replaced belts
replaced cup holder
replaced sway bar linkage (9/3/2020)
replaced front axle shaft assembly (6/16/2020)
