1998 Chevy Astro Conversion van
- 120k+ miles (very low miles for the Astro, my last one hit 315k)
- AC and heat (front and rear)
- minimal rust
- MD inspected/registered
- tires are new from 2017. plenty of tread left.
- comes with new replacement alternator
This is a great Hi-Top van. I bought it to convert into a camper, but ran out of time/energy. It would make a great camper conversion. The interior is already gutted, except for some of the seatbelts, the carpet, and two of the captains chair mounts; I will include all the tools for removing these. There is currently a full-size bed frame included, but if you don't want that, I can take it out. Can also include cooler and water tank, if desired.
I traveled the country in another 98 Chevy Astro that I built out and I can tell you, they are awesome vans! super easy/cheap to repair and very very dependable. I just drove this van to KY and back and had zero issues.
CONS:
As you can see from the photos, the paint is chipping on the hood and there are some exterior defects.
The power window on the passenger side does not work. Comes with replacement window motor. Just haven't had time to put it in.
Engine is misfiring at high RPMs. Likely needs new sparks.
Will need new brake pads soon.
Needs new front shocks.
Other than that, it starts/runs/drives like a dream.
$3500 obo
Will TRADE for a small car/hatchback or a short bus/RV
Thanks!
