F.Y.I: NEWER REPAIRS and PARTS: previous owner had both the rear differential & automatic transmission professionally upgraded and rebuilt; transmission had a high-performance shift kit installed when doing so to accommodate the heavier duty high performance parts installed in rear differential. Coil packs and spark plugs are newer, new brake line just installed on the complete drivers-left side from the master cylinder all the way back to the left rear wheel.
THE STORY: previous owner was a plumber by trade, he worked for a company and had a side business, this was his side business vehicle. He upgraded his job, got a newer company vehicle, got an increase in pay and didn't need to do the side business thing any longer. Sitting 6 months, battery was dead, I put a fresh battery in it, and it started right up NO PROBLEM. It starts-runs-drives-shifts-brakes-performs very nicely, engine, automatic transmission and rear differential are excellent, runs like a bear. You will see by my "Honest Panoramic Pictures" there is rust and rot along the bottom outer sheet metal parts of this van, it is isolated to the outer lower section and the remaining underside including frame are solid & in relatively good condition. Technically speaking it qualifies for low mileage status if you take a 10-12 miles per year average for a vehicle. ALSO: in CT, vehicles over 20 years old do not need the emissions tested anymore so you don't have to worry about that anymore on this van. The previous owner is very mechanically & automotive inclined and did much of the maintenance himself, NOT INCLUDING THE TRANSMISSION or REAR DIFFERENTIAL REBUILD, transmission was rebuilt by Hamden CT Transmissions and the rear differential was done by Dave @ All Ford in Milford-Stratford, CT. The previous owner is a very good repeat customer and good friend of mine and I have known him & his family since he was in a baby stroller. When he initially contacted me about this vehicle, he said that it has served him very well and it runs great, he was very accurate with his description, and I was impressed with how well it runs. F.Y.I: I own and operate a licensed collision and automotive business for the past 49 years and I service a lot of tradesman's work vans a lot newer than this one that aren't this clean or running this well.
