For sale is my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited parts vehicle. Body has 244,xx miles, transmission only has first and reverse so it does move under its own power, engine has 90,000 miles. It’s VERY rusty underneath, the rear lower control arm brackets are broken off the body, the vehicle is NOT safe to drive other than onto a trailer or a yard, NO BRAKES. I bought the Jeep two summer’s ago, fixed up my two 5.9 Limited’s I had. There’s still a lot of good parts left, I’m cleaning out my garage of Jeep stuff and put every part I have into the back of the Jeep, I'm moving into the LS powered world.
Notable parts include: super rare factory 5 speed manual swap parts… two sets of clutch and brake pedals, console boots, two factory shift knobs, a V8 bellhousing, V8 starter, factory dash pod without the OD OFF button (from England), V8 flywheel and pressure plate bolts, factory 6 cyl manual rear drive shaft, V8 and 6 cyl crank sensors. You could (AX15 or 3550) manual swap a V8 or 6 cylinder Grand Cherokee with these parts.
Jeep came with a K and N FIPK intake on it, 3” Flowmaster mandrel bent tailpipe and chrome tip, hotter ignition coil and bigger wires, PAC Audio steering wheel control module for an aftermarket radio, the rear axle was professionally rebuilt with an actual Spartan locker, front axle is still good, rebuilt at some point, 3.73 ratio, factory rear mud flaps, the factory header panel does not appear to be cracked, does have front factory tow hooks.
Also comes with a 2” Teraflex puck lift installed, 5.9 door panels and sound bar in decent shape, another spare 46RE transmission that can be rebuilt, factory hood louvers painted black with drip trays, two sets of 5.9 hood louver transfer templates for the top and bottom of the hood to add them to your non 5.9 hood. Lots of 93-98 modules, clusters, airbags, switches, factory cat off of my other 5.9 (rotted O2 ripped a hole when I tried to replace it), complete and functional moonroof from another 5.9, all glass is good, windshield is clean and not cracked, comes with spare front door windows, two out of three 5.9 badges are in great shape, extra A/C discharge hose, the E-fan has a burnt out low mode but that’s an easy fix, extra coolant temp switches, roof rack is still there, lots of extra factory nuts, screws, bolts. Too much to list!
This would be a good donor if you wanted to 5.9 swap a blown 4.0 or 5.2 ZJ, clear up and fix a wrecked 5.9, or V8 swap a CJ YJ TJ XJ MJ WJ.
