Used 1998 Lexus LS400 $1800 for sale in Knoxville, TN

Hi.

I have for sale my trusty 1998 Lexus LS400. This has been an incredibly reliable car for me for many years, and despite the high mileage and needing a little work, I guarantee it's got quite a bit of life left in it. The 1990's LS400's are famed for their reliability, and to this day have a large enthusiast fanbase. The odometer is currently reading 394,624, and I have put around 200,000 of those miles on it myself, and it has had surprisingly few issues. It has the original 4.0L V8 engine, and until last week, literally the only thing I've ever had to replace (outside of routine service/maintenance) was the starter. That being said, this car has seen a lot of miles and has accumulated several small issues that are in need of attention to get it tip top.

Here's a list of everything notably in need of repair/attention about the car:

Aesthetic:
- Front passenger turn signal light is missing
- Crack in front bumper
- Passenger mirror broken
- Driver's side hood hinge needs replacing (hood opens/closes fine though)
- Small, thin trim piece has come loose on passenger rear quarter panel
- Various small dings/paint scuffs
- Crack in windshield (happened over 4 years ago and has held up fine though)

Mechanical:
- Power steering is currently non-functional
- Haven't seen a mechanic about it, but it's possibly in need of a ball-joint/tie rod replacement on front passenger wheel. Not sure, but worth checking into.
- Could probably use a timing belt change
- Stereo isn't currently working properly.

That being said, it's been a great car and with a little work I'm sure it will continue to be for quite some time. Runs strong, heat and A/C work great, very smooth driving car, very comfortable interior.

Kelley Blue Book values this car for private party sale, in the lowest tier of condition with this mileage, at $2447. I'm asking $1800 for the vehicle. I'm fairly firm with this price but will consider offers.
