Vehicle Description
Selling old faithful, because I bought a larger vehicle for work, and the apartment complex won't let me have more than one here. Otherwise I would be hanging on to it.
This car has been a great commuter car, has been very easy and cheap to fix and maintain, gets about 40 miles per gallon, and runs great. Engine and transmission are healthy.
Issues or quirks that I know about:
1. It's got a small scrape on the passengers side about the length of a hand (Shown in photos).
2. There is a golf ball sized crack on the front bumper by the license plate (Shown in photos.
3. One of the interior air vents has broken flaps.
4. One small rip on the rear passenger door interior.
5. Front passenger side bumper is scuffed in the corner (shown in photos).
6. There is a check engine light - I've had this looked at by several mechanics, and was told that this is a (relatively) common code due to a defect in the OE manifold. It’s caused by small cracks forming on the exhaust where the 02 sensor threads in. I was told that the 02 sensors job is to monitor emissions output, but does not effect engine performance. I've never bothered fixing it. Happy to let you verify the code, check with a mechanic, or go with you to Autozone on the test drive. They have a code reader there that we can borrow to verify the code, and that there is nothing else wrong. (There are two photo's of the 02 sensor and manifold on the listing so you can see what i'm talking about). I never worried about it. But the part costs about $120 if it's something you want to replace.
7. Some of the automatic locks don't really work all the time. But all doors can still be locked by hand and with the key.
Note: After I took these photos I cleaned the interior, and had the ignition and distributor replaced. So I'll update with better interior photo's when I get a chance, if it doesn't sell before I get time.
Past that, feel free to ask or schedule a time to come look at it.
