Vehicle Description
Immaculate Lincoln Town Car
Belonged to my grandparents (who lived in Colorado and never drove in snow) for about a decade (it was their last car and they only drove about 500 miles a year to doctor's appointments and the store). I inherited it and was going to preserve it, but a change in career is taking me someone I can't store it. Putting it up for sale to someone who can get some good use out of her.
About the car:
A sleeper on the used market. The same base car as the Crown Victoria, so a bazillion cheap parts everywhere and anyone can work on them. One of the last AIR RIDE sedans.like driving a lay-z-boy on a cloud. Super quiet and comfortable. The last example of real, traditional American automobile luxury.
PROS:
Rust free, accident free, great condition.
This is a body-on-frame car (i.e. tough) that rides better than any modern unibody. Will easily go 300k miles+ with basic maintenance.
Has a sunroof and locking rear differential. Comes with all-weather floor mats.
Nonsmoker vehicle, just detailed.
Tires in great condition.
Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil changes annually (I drove it on some Sundays and barely put any miles on the car).
Comes with all the records I have, a new set of windshield wipers, a pair of jumper cables, a new set of Sylvannia headlight bulbs, and anything else I bought for the car but never used that I find until I sell it.
Cons:
Driver's window switch is a little finicky. It's a simple replacement but I haven't gotten around to it and wont have time before an upcoming move.
The gas gauge doesn't work (just needs a new sender - I just use the odometer).
Only one set of keys (the dealer or a hardware shop that does chip keys can make more, the place here said $80 since it's a chip key but didn't have any in stock).
$6,999 cash or cashier's check
