Vehicle Description
Note: I have all of the original parts, so you could put it back to be a road car. I'm not going to do it, though. Original parts are included in the price. The only emission component you will need to buy to get it smogged is a new normal o2 sensor, and put the factory ECU back in. It has a Megasquirt DIYPnP ECU in it, so it is not currently road legal, which means you should bring a trailer or you're rolling the dice that Milpitas PD won't pull you over. It is non-operational registration and has no back fees. Clean title. I will not part the car out! If you want the hard top, it's $8500 and comes with a 99 Miata. The original soft top is installed still, and has a glass window.
This is a HARD S, or "99 Sport" car. It's the most desirable of the NB cars since it is the lightest model and has the BP4W engine. I have 2 sets of original HARD S springs if you want to set it back up for SCCA Stock Class autocross. It's a very early car, so it has some oddities not seen on later NB cars. It has crank windows and was optioned with power steering and air conditioning. AC does not work and you would need a new condenser to get it working again.
Note on wiring and mods in general: I did not cut any wiring or do any hacky stuff to this car. The ECU wiring is stock. The wideband is powered from the radio switched power wire via a radio adapter. Steering wiring is uncut and an adapter was used rather than chopping. AC compressor is installed and sealed off. Pre-cat and normal catalytic convertor are both installed.
Includes:
Black hard top. I think it is from 1993. It has the defroster, but not the correct pigtail to plug in to a 1999.

Evil Genius rollbar and camera mount
Front & rear Spec Miata tow hooks
Aluminum door cards
5-point racing seat belts
Koni Race, short stroke shocks.
750 lb/in front springs
400lb/in rear springs

New battery (bought 2-6-22)
Lifetime warranty alternator with receipt
Thermal (brand) stainless exhaust. Makes sound on all NorCal tracks without playing games

I'm sure I am forgetting more things, but it really needs nothing. It starts right up and is ready to head to the track. I also have a bunch of spare parts that we can negotiate on, if you are interested. Did I mention that I will not part it out? I have the clean title in hand. Don't waste my time low balling me. If you are serious, send me an email with your phone number and I will call you back. Bring cash.
