Vehicle Description
Disclaimer: this car is not being represented by any Mercedes-Benz dealer; I am a PRIVATE SELLER.
Up for sale here is my 1999 Mercedes-Benz E430 Sport. This car has been my daily driver since March 2019 and I've put around 11,000miles on it in that time. I am 5 year Mercedes Technician and have made many repairs to this car during my ownership (detailed below).
Overall this car is in perfect mechanical shape, everything works (power windows, excellent Bose stereo, CD Changer, power locks, remote trunk opening, heat and A/C, sunroof, all exterior lights, heated power seats, rear defrost, etc).
This car has the rare Sport package with the AMG bumpers, 17" wheels, 4.3 V8. The car is 744 Brilliant Silver over 201 Schwarz/Black Leather (not MB-tex).
As far as I know I am the third owner, I have both remote keys and blades, and the car has NO warning lights on.
My reason for selling is I'm looking to move to a 4x4 SUV and this car won't be needed anymore.
Tons of maintenance done before my ownership with plenty of receipts (transmission service, front and rear brakes, brake light switch, balljoints, front wheel bearings, coolant flush, spark plugs, crank sensor, etc.).
Maintenance Completed by me in 2019:
- Engine and Transmission mounts replaced
- Engine Air filter replaced
- Oil and Filter Change (synthetic, OE filter)
- L/F sidemarker assembly
- ALL exterior lightbulbs
- Both rear inner tail lamp assemblies
- Replaced valve cover gaskets, resealed baffle plates and replaced crankcase vent hoses (OEM parts)
- Replaced all four lift pads
- Replaces front shock absorbers with Bilstein B6 Sport shocks
- Both transmission shifter bushings replaced
- Serpentine belt, tensioner, and upper idler pulley (Gates)
- All 16 Spark plug wires (OEM)
- Cabin air filters replaced
- Both front sway bar end links replaced
- Both high and low tone horns replaced
- Replaced all four tires with Kumho Ecsta PA51 (235 Front, 255 Rear).
Maintenance Completed by me in 2020:
- Oil and Filter change and brake fluid flush completed in August, 200miles ago.
- Drivers side exterior mirror glass replaced
The Bad:
This biggest downside to this car is the cosmetics. I'll list the problem areas below but you may also refer to the photos for more info. Headliner is sagging in the rear (common issue on these cars), slight rust bubbling around the R/R wheel arch, fist sized dent on the R/F fender, front bumper is cracked on the right corner, the paint on the rear bumper is cracked (looks to have been repainted previously), two small dents above and below the left tail lamp, a few small cracks on the dashboard around the defrost vents.
I absolutely invite anyone who is interested in the car to come out and see it, the car drives fantastic. I've taken it on several long roadtrips and was not disappointed in the way it performed.
If you have any questions or inquiries please feel free to contact me through email, text, or call (leave message if no answer).
TRADES: The only trades I'm interested in at the moment would be a 1999-2005 Mercedes ML430 or ML500 (possibly an ML320 or ML350 if the condition is right). I may be able to add cash for the right deal.
