Vehicle Description
1999 Plymouth Town and Country Limited minivan stealth camper.
Bought this with low miles 5 years ago from an elderly couple in Mystic CT and converted it into a stealth camper. Its been maintained well and had a new transmission installed by Jerry's Transmission in Guilford at 77K.
After buying the van, invested over $6,000 in maintenance improvements then spent almost another $1,000 on the conversion. (I have almost all of the receipts).
It has a 100 watt solar system.
100CFM maxx air vent fan (makes a huge difference).
350 watt/ 1100 watt peak AC inverter.
Camp pump sink.
Camp toilet (brand new).
Full size bed.
Tons of storage underneath the bed. Will hold many full size Rubbermaid tubs, snowboards etc.
We used it for snowboarding trips as well as other trips and could park almost anywhere, we never got hassled or asked to leave.
Also will include:
-2 screen DC powered DVD player.
-Camp chairs
-Coleman LP camp stove.
-Camp pots and pans.
-Small charcoal kettle grill.
-5 gallon Coleman fresh water container.
The roof top vent fan runs off of the solar battery, the solar controller has USB ports for charging phones etc. There is also a 2 port DC outlet which can run the AC inverter.
The vent van also has an LED light which works well and is bright enough to read at night.
The mini van itself has leather heated seats and power everything and is pretty comfortable to drive.
The following maintenance has been done:
87K- new battery
86K- both actuator blend doors
85K- full transmission service
85K- alternator, spark plugs, plug wires, serpentine belt.
80K- brake rotors, calipers, brake hoses.
79K- 4 new tires
77K- water pump
75K- new transmission and torque converter.
74K- new EGR valve.
The oil was just changed in April at 87K with full synthetic oil. It just passed emission testing and is good for 2 years.
There were a lot of dents and dings when I got it and I did not repair them. There was also some rust on the rear lift gate which I coated with rust inhibitor and it has stopped it from progressing.
The drivers side mirror is fogged.
The rear windshield wiper did not work when I bought the van and it was the only mechanical thing I did not fix. Otherwise the van is in very good mechanical condition and should still give years of being dependable.
Reason for selling is we bought a full sized camper.
It currently has 88k miles on it.
I have the 2 leather middle seats and the rear bench seat as well. It takes about 15 minutes to convert from the camper back to 7 passenger minivan and vice versa.
Please email with any questions, thanks!
